Alabama’s offensive line depth for the Rose Bowl and 2024 season improved on Saturday afternoon. Or technically did it remain the status quo?

Less than 24 hours after announcing his plans to transfer, Elijah Pritchett reversed course, releasing a statement that he’ll remain in Tuscaloosa and avoid the transfer portal.

“Transferring is not in my best interest. I apologize for any and all inconveniences. I’m 100% locked in. Roll Tide!” Pritchett sent to Hayes Fawcett of On3, who originally reported Pritchett’s intent to explore the portal on Friday night.

Alabama began team practice on Saturday, welcoming in a few mid-year recruits from the class of 2024 while studying the Wolverines ahead of the College Football Playoff Semifinal on Jan. 1. Pritchett is UA’s second-team left tackle behind freshman Kadyn Proctor.
